Privacy Notice

Effective: October 26, 2026

Fortified Insight, Inc., doing business as Fortified (“Fortified,” “we”), makes WISdom, SQL Server performance monitoring with cost optimization built in. This notice covers fortified.com, our free trial, the WISdom platform and the app at app.fortifiedwisdom.com, and our documentation site at docs.fortifiedwisdom.com. It says what we collect, why, who handles it for us, and how to reach us.

What we collect on fortified.com

Information you give us. When you fill in a form, start a trial, book a demo, subscribe, or contact us, we collect what you enter: typically your name, work email address, company, role, and any message you write.

Information collected automatically, only if you accept cookies. If you accept analytics and marketing cookies, our site sets cookies and loads scripts from Google (Analytics and Ads), HubSpot (analytics, forms, chat, and an advertising pixel), LinkedIn (Insight Tag), and PostHog. These record pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, approximate location from IP address, browser and device type, and a cookie identifier, and they let us connect a visit to a form submission. None of these load until you accept, and none load if you reject. We do not record sessions.

What we collect in the WISdom app and on the documentation site

WISdom is installed inside your environment as a collector. It sends performance and cost metrics to the WISdom platform, such as resource use, wait statistics, query duration, and capacity trends. These metrics do not contain personal data.

The one collected data type that can contain personal data is SQL query history. The collector replaces literal values in SQL statements with a placeholder inside your environment, before anything is transmitted to us. Values passed as parameters never appear in the statement text. We do not collect the contents of your tables.

We hold the account details of your WISdom users, such as name, work email address, and role, so we can sign them in and support them. We do not store your password. Sign-in is handled by single sign-on or by our authentication provider.

When you are signed in to the app, we collect product usage information: the pages and features you use, clicks, device and browser details, and your work email address. We use it to operate, secure, and improve WISdom. A service provider processes it for us. We do not record sessions, and we do not use this information for advertising.

The app uses Microsoft Azure Application Insights to monitor performance and errors. It sets cookies and sends technical information, including your IP address, to Microsoft. This runs on the sign-in page as well as inside the app.

Our documentation site records page views so we can see which pages are read. This analytics does not use cookies or identify you. It receives your browser type and IP address with each page view.

How we use information

  • To respond to requests, run trials, and provide and support WISdom
  • To send product and event emails you asked for, or where the law allows, and to let you unsubscribe
  • To understand how our site and product are used and to improve them
  • To keep our systems secure and to meet legal obligations We do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies on fortified.com, which load only after you accept them, send visit data to Google and LinkedIn so we can measure our campaigns. Rejecting cookies stops this.

Cookies and consent

On fortified.com, analytics and marketing cookies are off until you accept them in the banner. You can reject them, and you can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link.

Who handles information for us

We use service providers who process information on our behalf under contract. They fall into these categories:

Security

We maintain a SOC 2 Type II attested program. Our Trust Center at trust.fortified.com holds our current reports and summaries.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to opt out of sharing for advertising, and to stop marketing email. California, and some other states, give these as legal rights, and you will not be treated differently for using them. We respond within 45 days. To make a request, email [email protected]. We verify requests before acting on them. If we handle your data as a service provider to a WISdom customer, we refer your request to that customer.
